I listened to 96.3 as it changed from plane old WMTS-FM to 96 KOS. I was between 18 or 19, I've lost track of time. Also, *I think* it was Monte Hale that made the changes. I do remember all my peer male friends that got upset that Rock 106 bailed out on December 24th, the format changed to Adult Standards. I knew that was going to happen. I think at night, 96 KOS tried to fill the void of 105.9 (former Rock 106 format). for a short period, I think 96 KOS rocked hard at night, problem was they didn't have as good of a signal as they did when it became Oldies 96.3, then in 2005 to Jack FM.
I was the program director of this station. The logo came from a contest that our listeners took part in. Great to see this....Thanks.
